Icon Tut Five (Feat. Salma Hayek =D)

Today was a volleyball game I actually played in! It was awesome! I scored a few points....

I've tried a particularly new style in this icon. I really love it though!

Icon Coloring Tutorial Five

From this to this

 

1. Open your base image. Crop to 100 x 100. 

2. Create a new layer. Fill with #76AADB. Set to Overlay, 87%.


3. Create another new layer. Fill with #F4BBE2. Set to Color Burn, 73%.


4. Create a new layer. Fill with #A88703. Set to Soft Light, 100%.


5. Create a new Selective Color layer.

(Reds: +17, +28, -22, 0)

(Magentas: 0, +100, 0, 0)

(Neutrals: 0, +13, 0, 0)


6. Duplicate your base layer. Set it to
Normal, 72%.


7. Create a new Hue/Saturation layer.

(Master: 0, +10, 0)


8. Create a new layer. Fill with #86A2EB. Set to Multiply, 26%.


9. Create a new Brightness/Contrast layer.

(Brightness: +13)

(Contrast: -8)


10. Create another new layer. Fill with #462502. Set to Overlay, 24%.


11. Create a new layer. Fill with #460227. Set to Color Dodge, 53%.


12. Create the last of the everlasting fill layers! Fill with #020D46. Set to Exclusion, 100%.


13. DONNNEEEE!~

Yup. Anther tutorial. One of favorites too! I'm still too lazy to check it so if there are some mistakes please tell me.

Icon Coloring Tutorial Four (4)

From this to this

1. Open your base image. Crop to 100 x 100.


2. Create a new layer. Fill it with #826E01. Set to Color Burn, 28%.


3. Create another layer. Fill it with #000545. Set it to Exclusion, 54%.


4. Create yet another layer. Fill it with #C8CA00. Set it to Color Burn, 49%.


5. Create a new layer. Fill it with #001428. Set it to Exclusion, 100%.


6. Duplicate your base image and drag to the top. Set that to
Normal, 43%.


7. Create a new Hue/Saturation layer. (Master: 0, +15, 0)


8. Create a new Brightness/Contrast layer. (Brightness: +19, Contrast: +6)


9.Create a new Selective Color layer.

(Reds: 0, +46, 0, 0)

(Cyans: 0, 0, 0, -100)


10. Create a new Curves layer. (Input: 77, Output: 118)

Icon Tutorial #3

From this to this


1. Open up your base image.


2. Create a new layer. Fill it with #000D4C (Exclusion, 100%)


3. Create another layer. Fill it with #EAFF00 (Color Burn, 12%)


4. Create yet another layer. Fill it with #FFD800 (Overlay, 17%)


5. Create a new Hue and Saturation layer. (Master: 0, +6, 0)


6. Create a new Brightness and Contrast layer (Brightness: +21, Contrast: +14)


7. Create a new Selective Color layer.

(Reds: -80, +14, 0, +21)

(Yellows: 0, 0, -43, +43)


8. Create another fill layer. Fill with #FF0000 (Soft Light, 16%)


9. Create another fill layer. Fill with #012A4D (Exclusion, 40%)


10. Duplicate your base image and drag it the top. (Normal, 24%)


11. Open a new Curves layer. (Input: 71, Output: 87)


12. Create another fill layer. Fill with #023165 (Difference, 14%)


13. Make #650202 & #653F02 “color bubbles” by using a blurred brush like these:

Set to Color Dodge, 100%.


13. Create a layer. Fill it with #E10175 (Lighten, 18%)


14. Create a new Hue and Saturation layer. (Master: -5, +11, +7)


15. Add some dotted lines with a dotted brush! (To make one, just adjust a normal “dot” brush’s spacing)


16. DONEEE! I know this tutorial was particularly long. And it had some confusing points like the color bubbles and dotted lines. Sorry if the instructions were a bit vague. Feel free to ask questions!

Hey-a! I'm happy! I got some comments on my last tut! YAY!~ Plus, I joined a community! YEAH! So here's yet another icon coloring tut....One my favs, really. Hope you like it! ^^

Icon Coloring Tutorial Numbah Two

From this: to

1. Open up a new image.

2. Create a new layer and fill it with #002035. Set it to Difference and 37%.

3. Create yet another fill layer and fill it with #FF0000. Set it to Screen, 18%.

4. Create a new Selective Color layer.
     Reds: +15, +17, +12, -15
     Yellows: +18, 0, 0, 0
     Whites: -100, -50, 0, -50

5. Create a new Brightness/Contrast layer
     Brightness: +11
     Contrast: +10

6. Create another fill layer. Fill it with #2C0000. Set it to Exclusion, 26%.

7. You must be tired of fill layers by now! But sorry, here’s another one! Fill it with #8A6B6B (Overlay, 25%)

8. And again, here’s another fill layer! For the nth time, I bet! Fill the layer with #DE0360 to Lighten, 19%.

9. Duplicate the base layer and drag it to the top. Set this to Normal, 17%.

10. The last of the many fill layers! Fill it with #DE0360 (Exclusion, 21%)]

11. TA DAA! Feel free to tamper with the settings! It depends on your tastes and image!

Yeah. That's me. A noob. So if this little journal seems off, you know why. I wanted to try putting graphics on here. My graphics may seem utterly horrible. That's why I need critique from you, experts! Please? Anyway, to my first post! Cheers! Ha, ha, ha.

[I don't know how in the world I'm supposed post this tutorial, but yeah, I'm posting it anyway! WOO!] 

I use Adobe Photoshop CS. Uses Selective Coloring. NON TRANSLATABLE. Sorry.

Icon Coloring Tutorial Numero Uno (a.k.a. the first one) 

The base image is slightly smaller than the outcome, but it looks mainly the same. Sorry for the inconvienience! xP

From this to   

1. Open up your image. If your image is really dark, you may want to duplicate it and set it to Screen. Depends, really.
 
2. Open up a new Selective Color layer (Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Selective Color}
 
Reds
Cyan: +15
Magenta: -1
Yellow: -7
Black: +100
 
Cyans
Cyan: -1
Magenta: +1
Yellow: 0
Black: +100
 
Neutrals
Cyan: +25
Magenta: +7
Yellow: -2
Black: -5
 
3. Open up a new Hue and Saturation Layer (Layer >> New Adjustment Layer >> Hue and Saturation)
 
Master
Saturation: 26
 
4. Make a new layer (Layer>> New Layer). Fill it with #003F67. Set that to Screen, 100%
 
5. Make yet another layer. Now fill this one with #001D30. Set it to Difference, 100%.

6. DONE!
